Happy Friday!
Here is one of the activities we have been working on this week: 3D Heart Art
Learning Intentions:
- Texture can be represented from a range of different studio techniques.
- Colour can be made to appear dull or bright.
- Gradations of tone are useful to show depth or the effect of light on objects.
- By increasing details in the foreground the illusion of depth and reality can be enhanced.
As part of our upcoming Celebration of Learning, students created a collaborative art piece to remind us that even while we are all different, we all love and need love. This art also reminds us that love is shown is so many different ways. Each student was given two square pieces of paper and they were given a specific colour for the background. Students used fabric, foam, paint, markers, tissues paper, yarn - you name it, to create their background. They then could create a heart using again, any materials, but also any colours they wanted. The results were so unique and creative. Check out our final product and how good it looks all together.
If you are able to, please join us for our Celebration of Learning, focused on kindness, love and Pink Shirt Day, on February 26th at 9:00am.
Have a wonderful weekend!
